Segmentation, Reconstruction, Modeling and 3D Visualization of the Ventricles in Echocardiographics Images

چکیده
This paper addresses the processing and reconstruction of the heart from echocardiographics images. This work is divided into two processing chains: reconstructionvisualization, each one of them is divided in several modules denominated as: 3D Acquisition, 3D Filtration, 3D Segmentation, 3D Reconstruction, 3D Modeling and 3D Visualization. The second processing chain uses a priori model of the organ. It is adjusted to the data issued from the segmentation of the 4D (3D + t) volume captured of the patient. This is a new processing because it is possible to capture a series of useful parameters as (the ejection fraction, position, displacement and torsion of the ventricle) and at the same time it allows to do a 3D visualization of the virtual model. Two different models have been used in this work, a) A model of front propagation that allows to segment the internal wall of the ventricle with enough precision and b) A model with a deformable superquadrics which allows to obtain some useful geometric parameters to describe the shape and the dynamics of the ventricles. When we observe the differences between the virtual model and the result images of the 3D reconstruction of the heart, the physician has more information for the diagnose, then the cardio vascular illnesses will be detected with more precision.

Introduction: Various computer assisted medical procedures such as dental implant, orthodontic planning, face, jaw and cosmetic surgeries require automatic quantification and volumetric visualization of teeth. In this regard, segmentation is a major step. Material and Methods: In this paper, inspired by our previous experiences and considering the anatomical knowledge of teeth and jaws, we prop...
متن کاملTarget detection Bridge Modelling using Point Cloud Segmentation Obtained from Photogrameric UAV
In recent years, great efforts have been made to generate 3D models of urban structures in photogrammetry and remote sensing. 3D reconstruction of the bridge, as one of the most important urban structures in transportation systems, has been neglected because of its geometric and structural complexity. Due to the UAV technology development in spatial data acquisition, in this study, the point cl...
متن کاملOptimization of Reconstruction of 2D Medical Images Based on Computer
Computer 3D reconstruction consisting of reconstruction of 3D point clouds and images plays an important role in computer graphics, computer image processing and computer vision research. Image based 3D reconstruction includes reconstruction of single image and multiple images. متن کامل3-D computed tomography reconstruction: another tool to teach anatomy in the veterinary colleges
This letter underpins the use of three-dimensional computed tomography (3D-CT) reconstruction as an aid to teach veterinary anatomy. Cases were presented to students in order to observe normal and clinically abnormal patients. The images provided excellent details of relevant structures and could serve as a tool for teaching anatomy. Many sources describe different options to enhance anatomical...
